It all started with a night flight

On a late-night flight over Switzerland, Martin Kernbichler looked out of the cabin window. Down below, a network of brightly lit streets was glowing and gleaming, and from time to time a car could be seen crawling along. So much light, and so little traffic. “It should be possible to turn off the lights if they aren’t required,” he thought.

He was unable to shake off this idea. Shortly afterwards, he and his colleague of many years Premysl Vaclavik started to develop solutions for cost-saving and highly focused illumination on demand.

Their first designs became more and more specific, they decided to put their dreams into practice and founded an enterprise. And here we are!
